I wish it were possible to include all the wonderful emails and cards I receive in the blog. My good friend Tony tried to post the following sentiments as a comment but apparently they exceeded the length limitation. Because he intended his comments to be publicly posted, I include them here for your contemplation:
“I've been reading the blog each day for a month, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing out loud, sometimes both in the same breath. Your spirit never ceases to amaze me, and I must confess enjoying the writing a little as well (hate those bell peppers, love the squirts, not sure about the sun soup). Now the course is set and lines seem drawn. I (We) am honored to be a warrior in your army. With helmet donned and bayonet fixed lets charge forward following a fearless leader. To empower the soul, enrich the heart and fortify the body we are here to do battle. To be used however the winds of war most favor your need. But beyond the battlefield yet lies the companionship of the journey and the passage of time. Places to be shared during the interludes. Warm, inviting, surprising places hidden between the roads less traveled. Let’s gather as time allows and share the kaleidoscope of life, with its brightly colored hues. Nature, music, labor, touching, spirit, family, humor, food and more....... Tomorrow we walk.”
My humble thanks to ALL of you that have joined me in this fight, for I am nothing without my friends and family.
