Report from the battlefront . . .

Okay, time for a review of progress made toward the implementation of the 13-Point Plan of Attack, posted September 2:

1. Eat Healthfully and Joyously: A+. If tumors thrive on animal protein and processed foods, these guys are hurting.

2. Traditional Chinese Medicine: B+. I’ve slowed down a little on the tea decoctions because they make me retch. But I supplement with freeze-dried herbs and have had two acupuncture sessions to address soreness in my lower back.

3. Prayer and Meditation: C. Quieting my mind and asking for help are activities that I find difficult. But I need the help so I will continue to work on this.

4. Visualization and Guided Imagery: B-. I continue to thwart Cecily’s efforts in this area. But she will prevail.

5. Bodywork: A-. Thanks Cec!

6. Physical Conditioning: B+. I would’ve gotten an A here but have been slacking off on the upper body conditioning.

7. Essential Oils and Aromatherapy: A-. Again, this score is the result of Cecily’s diligence.

8. Tai Chi: D-. Only the viewing of an introductory video has saved me from an F here.

9. Make Music: B-. Gotta do better.

10. Work in Vineyard: A-. This is so much fun and so relaxing. It’s ridiculous that it took cancer to get me off my butt.

11. Sleep Outdoors: B+. Impressive progress here, but it’s getting cold.

12. Chemotherapy: A for effort, F for implementation. This trend may not change.

13. Climb a Mountain: Not yet due.
