Heart murmur, take 2 . . .

During the course of yesterday’s biopsy appointment, the surgeon listened to my heart. He said the murmur was difficult to detect and was barely audible, making it a grade 1/6. This is also what my primary care physician had said last Thursday.

Three weeks ago the murmur had been graded at 3/6 indicating that it was “immediately audible and of moderate intensity”. The surgeon did not have an explanation for the reduction in the intensity of the murmur.

We haven’t been paying much attention to my heart over the past week now that we’ve discovered this other field that is so rich with interesting deposits. But remember the good old days when if you went to the doctor and you were feeling better, and if your symptoms were getting better, it meant that YOU were getting better?

These are the good old days, my friend. Stranger things happen every single day. I am visualizing those f*ing invaders in your body shrinking with every sip of your delicious new tea...
