“What were once vices . . .

. . . are now habits.” Last night marked the eighth consecutive night of sleeping outdoors. The “campsite” continues to expand with miscellaneous accoutrements. Yesterday Taylor brought down four Tiki torches, three reclining chairs, a picnic table, a fire pit, and a partridge in a pear tree. Taylor, Cec, and I dined on roasted tofu dogs and s’mores while a choir of coyotes serenaded us. It was a blast.

As previously stated, we’re off to see the oncologist today. His view will be grim, no doubt, but as I’ve previously intimated I don’t put much stock in what MDs say. I’ll be polite and respectful, but I’ll prove him wrong.

Off now for my 37th consecutive morning hike . . .
