I can’t begin to express how nice it is to appreciate the world once again. After several weeks of being dragged through hell, my life is again filled with music, laughter, and hope. And although I’m still working with a body riddled with cancer, the battle lines have shifted giving me some much needed breathing room.
It’s back to LA tomorrow for Round 2 of the chimp fight. Pre- and post-infusion testing expands these sessions to two-day affairs at this time, so I may miss a posting if I can’t locate a computer tomorrow evening.
In closing, I just want to once again acknowledge all the love sent my direction from friends and family far and wide. It is truly a humbling experience to absorb the purity of that love, given freely without attachments or expectations. And to those that lend their support quietly, through the cosmic ether, I feel that love very strongly also. So thank you all, for all you do, large or small. You keep me pushing onward.
And special thanks to my two sisters for their awesome displays of love and support. They posted some beautiful comments recently that warrant special acknowledgement. As many of you might imagine, I was the brother from hell: excess energy, frequently bored, and always looking for a fight. When the pot needed stirring, my sisters were easy targets. Despite being traumatized beyond belief, their love has never faded. Amazing. And now it is my turn to tell them how very much I love them. Then, now, and forever.

Hey Paul,
Very good to hear you're on the upswing. Glad to hear you're noticing the sisters, too. I've always thought they were both spectacular. Jan was a great big sister, even to me. But, I never really noticed either of them taking much crap from you. So, I think you're in the clear for any past infractions.
Here's to your continued reprieve and the power of the chimps.
